Chapter FortyTwo.

Evren.

I squinted as my eyes slowly adjusted to the light, I looked around the room seeing everyone but the person I was looking for, where's Camden? “Evren” I turned my head slowly and saw Dani standing by my side.

“Camden” I whispered.

“I'm here baby” I turned my head and Camden was on my other side, her hand in mine hovering over me. “Where were you?” I whispered.

“Sorry baby i needed some air, how are you feeling?’ She asked running her delicate fingers over my cheek.

“Water” I croaked out.

Her hands left my skin to pour me a glass of water, she set it down on the side before grabbing the remote for the bed and slowly sitting me up, she picked up the water bringing it to my lips, I sipped it slowly feeling it cool the back of my throat. I cleared my throat and then looked around at everyone.

“You're all still here?” I asked.

“Of course, we had to make sure our girl was okay” Naveah smiled.

“You know?” I asked.

Naveah nodded and I scanned everyone's faces as they avoided my gaze and looked towards the floor. “I'm going to be okay” I told them.

“That's the spirit you've got to have” Aaliyah grinned.

“Guys” I said seriously and they all looked up at me. “Please don't treat me like some fragile little child that has cancer”

They all averted my gaze again and I looked over to Camden who smiled down at me.

“I can handle the having cancer part, but I can't handle you guys treating me like a cancer patient, like I'm going to break if you touch me”

As soon as the words left my mouth everyone literally dove onto my bed and gave me a massive hug.

“That's not exactly what I meant, but it's a start” I groaned.

They all squeezed me tighter and each tried to kiss my cheek.

“Guys I just came out of surgery” I whispered barely able to breath.

They flew off of me but hovered over the bed. “We're so sorry, are you okay? We didn't hurt you did we?” Naveah asked.

“I'm good” I smiled. “Just what I needed”

“Just what you needed?” Camden asked.

“Could think of something else” I smiled up at her. “Guys come on gross, you just got out of surgery” Dani complained.

“I meant a kiss” I rolled my eyes and looked up at Camden expectantly.

She smiled bending down and pressing her soft lips to the corner of my mouth.

“More” I whispered.

She smiled and placed her lips on mine, slowly moulding together, moving in sync with each other. “Ehem” we pulled away and saw the doctor standing in the entrance.

Me and Camden giggled slightly then both turned our attention to him.

“There is too many visitors in this room, only one at a time” He said eyeing everyone up.

“We're going, we're going, Cammie look after our girl and we'll see you tomorrow right?” Dani asked us.

But we looked over to the doctor for confirmation. “You can see her tomorrow yes, but she will be weak, groggy and tired from the chemo so you won't get much out of her” He told them.
